Slab modification in a multi-storey commercial building
Scope
Closing and enlarging openings and a new dumb-waiter shaft in an existing RC slab for a restaurant fit-out.
A new restaurant layout required local work on the slab at +4.40 m: closing part of an existing opening, enlarging another for a new timber stair and a small shaft for a dumb-waiter.
The design kept the intervention tightly bounded so that beams and columns were untouched, and was issued with a technical report and drawings for the approval.
